The Perfect (Winter) Storm

I'm writing this amid the rumble of thunder and flashes of light from a storm front sweeping through the Ozarks. Our unseasonably warm fall is being replaced by a strong cold front expected to give high temperatures tomorrow more than 30 degrees cooler than today. Add a bunch of moist warm air coming up from the south and you get three kids hoping that they wake up to snow, ice, and a school cancellation message on the radio :)
